Many of you are wondering which vaccinations you’ll need for the journey of a lifetime. First and foremost: it’s essential to consult your doctor or a travel health specialist before departure to determine which vaccinations are recommended for your personal health and our itinerary. They know your medical history and can guide you on what’s necessary.

If, for any reason – such as an existing illness, allergies, or past side effects – you are unable to receive a specific vaccine, please bring an official medical certificate. This document may be required not only by the ship’s doctor but also by authorities in certain countries.

And if you happen to miss a vaccine – for example, before the Eastern Asia segment – don’t worry! You’ll have the opportunity to catch up on vaccinations during our stop in Alaska. Of course, our ship’s doctor will always be available to guide you, monitor travel health requirements, and arrange any necessary care.

🌏 Recommended or Required Vaccinations by Region

Asia

  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Typhoid
  • Japanese Encephalitis (for rural or extended stays)
  • Rabies (if risk of animal contact)

Africa

  • Yellow Fever (mandatory in many countries)
  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Typhoid
  • Meningococcal ACYW (especially West Africa and for Hajj)
  • Rabies in certain areas

South America

  • Yellow Fever (mandatory or strongly recommended in many countries)
  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Typhoid
  • Rabies (in rural areas)

Australia

  • No mandatory vaccines, but ensure routine immunizations (MMR, tetanus, influenza) are up to date
  • Rabies only for special activities involving animals

Europe

  • No mandatory vaccines, but strongly recommended: MMR, tetanus, influenza
  • Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) in some northern and eastern regions
  • Polio booster for certain destinations

What to Do?

  • Start early – some vaccines require multiple doses, spaced weeks or even months apart before departure.
  • Check your routine vaccinations (MMR, tetanus, influenza, polio).
  • Use trusted resources – such as the CDC or WHO travel health websites – or visit your local travel clinic or immunization center.
  • If at higher risk (extended rural stays, expected medical procedures, animal contact), always seek a dedicated travel health consultation.

Our goal is to ensure you travel in comfort, safety, and good health, so you can fully enjoy every destination – from the very first port to the last. 🚢💉
