Boarding Requirements

What should I know after booking my cabin? Prepare your documents. Ensure that you have the correct identification forms. Give yourself time to renew your passport if necessary to make the boarding process as smooth as possible.

What travel documents are required for boarding? Everyone must present a valid passport issued by their country of citizenship to board the ship. Passengers who fail to bring the necessary documents may be denied boarding.

What vaccinations are required? All passengers must ensure they are in good health and physically fit for travel.

Cabins

What are the cabin sizes? The average size of interior cabins is 21 m² (226 sq ft), ocean-view cabins with verandas are around 25 m², and suites range from 23-118 m².

I don’t want an interior cabin because there's no view? At Victoria Cruises Line, you don't have to miss out on the view, even in an interior cabin! Every interior cabin is equipped with a 100 cm LCD screen where you can enjoy real-time views of the surroundings.

Is there a hairdryer in the cabin? Yes, every cabin is equipped with a hairdryer.

How many electrical outlets are there in a cabin and the bathroom? There are typically 3 or 4 outlets in a cabin and a few USB charging ports – generally one at the desk/vanity and on both sides of the bed.

Is the bathroom’s “shaver” socket only for electric razors? Yes! Please do not use hairdryers or other devices in this socket, as they may overload the circuit. Electric shavers require minimal power, while hairdryers need much more.

Dress Code

Can I wear shorts to dinner? Yes, but there may be restrictions in certain areas of the ship where an evening dress code is required. Shorts are not permitted in the main dining rooms or specialty restaurants during dinner.

Can I wear Crocs or flip-flops to dinner? Generally, if you'd wear them to the beach or pool, they're probably not appropriate for dinner.

Shore Excursions

How long does the VCL stay in each port? The ship typically spends 1-7 days in port, giving you plenty of time to explore not only the port city but also nearby towns at your leisure.

What can I do in the port? Most ports offer a wide range of experiences, from shopping and sightseeing to hiking, biking, snorkeling, diving, exploring historical sites, and more. Victoria Cruises Line offers various shore excursions at each port, which you can find at https://victoria.cruises/destinations/. Alternatively, you can browse https://blog.victoria.cruises/ for shore excursions, which are often cheaper than those offered by travel agencies.

What happens if I’m late returning to the ship? The ship will wait if you purchased the shore excursion through the Cruise Line, and the travel agency guarantees you’ll return to the ship. In rare cases where an excursion is significantly delayed (due to weather, landslides, flooding, etc.), the excursion company will work with the Cruise Line to get you to the next port. While this is an extreme measure, it is very rare.

If you arrange your excursion independently, ensure you have enough time to return before the ship departs. If you're late, the ship won’t wait!

Dining

Can I request special meals? At Victoria Residential Ship, it's essential that anyone with special dietary needs – including food allergies or intolerances, vegetarian or vegan diets, paleo, low-carb, or low-sodium/fat diets – is accommodated. The Cruise Line’s chefs are accustomed to meeting all kinds of requests and will provide delicious meals within your dietary restrictions. These requests must be submitted in advance, so don't forget to mention them during the booking process or contact our team at booking@victoria.cruises for assistance. Read more about this here: https://victoria.cruises/blog/food-allergies-food-intolerances-plant-based-and-religious.php.

What about dining companions – can I sit with just my spouse or friends, or will I have tablemates? Experienced cruisers often prefer to dine with other guests at the same table; some lifelong friendships have started this way. However, Victoria Cruises Lines is designed to accommodate all preferences, with options for two, four, or even ten-person table requests!

We’re celebrating a special occasion, like a birthday or anniversary, onboard. Can we do something special? Absolutely! Birthdays or anniversaries can be made even more festive with champagne, flowers, or finger foods. You can even organize a private party for a truly special occasion.
